I’m lucky to have Joey as my husband for many reasons, but chief among them is that he is very creative. This is a good skill to have when you are on a tight budget, which we undoubtedly are. For instance, when I found a huge (35″ by 44″), yet very ugly painting at the Goodwill Outlet for $5, Joey had the brilliant idea to transform it into a striking, but simple graphic wall piece. Armed with some spray paint and a handmade stencil, he set out to achieve his vision. The fantastic outcome of his work speaks for itself.
Isn’t the frame beautiful? We painted it white to make it pop.
