I love airplants. They are so easy to care for and they are beautiful. There are a lot of different kinds, but my favorite kind is a large variety called Xerographica, pictured below. A few weeks ago, I purchased one from Amazon and built a cute terrarium to house it.

Since the Xerographica doesn’t require soil, I was able to get a little creative with the base. I lined it with wine corks. Why? Well truth be told, I still had a bag full of wine corks from the chandelier that I built a few years ago. I just really wanted to get rid of the corks, and this was an easy way to use them.  Plus, they give the plant a little height and make it stand out better.

The terrarium base and glass dome are from Cost Plus World Market.

Assembling the whole terrarium took me less than 10 minutes. It was a super easy project, and it looks great. What’s not to love about that?
