A few weeks ago, I bought a Soda Stream, which I absolutely love. What I don’t love is the flavored syrups sold at the store. So I’ve been experimenting with different concoctions and my latest one is my favorite. It’s a lemon lime syrup that makes sparkling water taste quite similar to Sprite. Read below to learn how to make it.
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Lime Juice
- 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
Combine the water and sugar in a saucepan and heat until the sugar begins to dissolve. Stir in the lemon and lime juice and turn off the heat. Let the syrup cool, then transfer to a jar or container. Mix in 1 – 2 tablespoons of the syrup in with a glass of sparkling water, and voila. What’s so great about making your own Sprite mixture is that you can control the level of sweetness. Just add more or less syrup depending on your preference.
