Where is time going? Like seriously, I can’t believe my baby girl is three months old tomorrow! I’ve been enjoying every day with her and am dreading the thought of having to return to work soon, but I’ve also come to realize that I am not cut out to be a stay at home mom. It’s hard work. Between trying to balance her developmental needs, changing diapers ALL DAY LONG (how can a tiny baby poop so much?), and breastfeeding, I’m exhausted. Major props to all the stay at home parents out there.  You are all rockstars, but for Florence’s sake, I think it’s best that I go to work and let someone else help with some of the daily care.  That doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy to leave her. In an ideal world, I would be able to stay home with her for at least six months, but unfortunately the parental leave most companies offer is far less than that. month-03

On a different note, I’m happy to report that Zuzu and Florence are becoming fast friends. I was quite worried about how Zuzu would deal with the arrival of Florence. She is a bit of a drama queen, but she has been a total sweetheart with her baby sister.  She hangs out by the bassinet all day long and always seems extremely concerned when Florence cries. It’s very cute.
