This year, I wanted something super easy for Halloween. Something that nodded to the fact that I’m extremely pregnant, while also being themed. After some pinterest deep dives, I landed on the idea of a sun, rainbow and cloud!
Because I’m way too tired these days to do any serious crafting, I cheated and bought Florence’s rainbow costume from Etsy. It’s great quality and super cute, so I’m very happy with my choice. For my sun costume, I bought a yellow dress and a headband on Amazon (the headband is literally just yellow zip ties tied to a plain band… I’m kind of annoyed that I didn’t think to DIY it myself). I already have the bump for the round sun, so nothing else was needed. But the real star of the show was Joey. He went all out by buying an all white ensemble at Goodwill and creating an epic cloud hat. He said it was fairly straightforward. He used a thrifted hat and attached pillow stuffing using hot glue. He even added some “cloud stuffing” chest hair – haha, which is so ridiculous and 100% on point for Joey.
Aren’t they the cutest? I’d say this was a Halloween win. Everyone was happy with the outcome and it was very low lift for me.
