It has taken a while, but our house is starting to feel like a home.  Joey and I have been putting in quite a bit of elbow grease.  There have been some near nervous breakdowns (like when the vintage desk I purchased didn’t fit in our car), and there have been plenty of late night Home Depot trips; however,  overall, it has been such a rewarding experience.  We are very lucky that we found our dream house at a price that we can actually afford, even if we have had to change our lifestyle a little bit to accommodate the extra expenses of owning a home.  For instance, instead of going out for sushi, we now opt for less pricey options.  The Taco Bell $2 meal deal has become my dinner of choice.  We have become quite the fast food connoisseurs.  We even have a rating scale for all of the different fast food joints in Seattle, but more on that later.  I better get back to the point of this post—our house.  We have been doing some awesome projects, which I’ll be sharing, but first I wanted to give a sneak peak of the progress.

This is the view from our window.  Can you say SPACE NEEDLE?? (side note: there is a highway right outside of our window, which is why we bought top down/bottom up blinds.  We keep the bottom down and only lower the top low enough to block out the cars.  That way we can just imagine that the highway does not exist.  We have very good imaginations.)
